E' con immenso piacere che partecipo per il secondo anno al Progetto 2Lei in SL.
Quest'anno ho l'onore di ospitare un gruppo di artiste internazionali che hanno immediatamente risposto positivamente al mio invito ad esporre le loro opere presso The Knot Art Gallery e che hanno creato delle istallazioni per l'occasione.
"Breaking the Silence" è il titolo che abbiamo dato alla collettiva.
7 Voci per rompere il silenzio. Sette artiste internazionali danno la loro personale interpretazione della Giornata Mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne. Avrete il piacere di ammirare le loro creazioni in un viaggio attraverso le loro visioni e i loro pensieri.
Sarà possibile visitare la mostra fino al 18 Dicembre.

It is with a great pleasure that I partecipate for the second year to the Project 2Lei in SL.
This year I'm honored to host a group of international artists who immediately answered positively to my invitation to exhibit their works @The Knot and have created art installations for the occasion.
"Breaking the Silence" is the title we have given to our collective show.
7 Voices to Break the Silence. Seven international artists give their own personal interpretation to the International Day for the Elimination of violence against Women. You will have the pleasure to appreciate their works in a tour through their visions and thoughts. It will be possible to visit the show till December 18th.

A very special thank to Merlina and Newbab (Nathalie Gobè and Jean-Marc Larroque) for all the "first chances" they have given to me in these 2 years full of art since their first opening in January 2009 and for this retrospective they dedicated to me.

Merlina shows through her collection of snapshots a lovely journey through some exhibitions I took part in, while on another platform I show my very first two works made in June 2007 and two more recent works.

2Lei “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” .

2Lei is a collaborative project which involves: 2LifePhotos, Free Art, Arts Merkaba, PAD, SL Art, Tanalois, Salim, WDT Planet, CSW Island, The Knot and some groups of Second Life. The aim of the project is to raise awareness and dissemination of events related “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” .
On November 25, 2010 various digital artists, virtual galleries and cultural figures of SL have been called to share in their own lands and groups belonging to, the common message of solidarity to the woman.

2Lei - The Passion of the women
This is our tribute in 360 degrees to the woman and a sign of solidarity with the women raped, abused, denigrated, enslaved, hated, feared, exploited ... This is our way to be close to all the women who cannot be with us, especially on this day. This is our way to voice their hymn to life because their passion has not ended with a resurrection .. but with their death, deprivation ... their annihilation of the being.

Our hug goes to all those women who have walked with us on this world like human beings accused of non-existent difference, of an uncomfortable particularity, of an inappropriate feeling, of a dangerous enthusiasm …accused of being woman .. to be destroyed rather than be loved.
Being a woman today is to be human! With our virtual bodies, our global consciousness and the immortality that distinguishes us in this perfect world, we want to dedicate a day to the human being.

On the day when the real world come together without boundaries in this complaint, we open the doors of the Metaverse to spread our message of solidarity with women.
This message wants to reach the hearts of human beings through the virtual art, the pride of a parallel society in which creative expression deletes the distances and meet together under a single manifest.
2Lei is an Italian project and it is the example of the cooperation of the residents of Second Life. 2Lei project has brought together artists and gallery owners from around the world for the same cause to dedicate one day in the virtual environment to the Passion of women.
On November 25, 2010 in Second Life come with us and embrace all women in the world!

Violence against women
- Over the last decade, to fight violence against women has become a priority in many countries. A study by the Secretary General in 2006 on violence against women has found that at least 89 states had some laws on domestic violence and 60 had specific laws against domestic violence. Marital rape was a crime punishable in at least 104 countries. Ninety-three countries had some rules regarding human trafficking. Ninety states had laws against sexual harassment.
- Despite these advances, violence against women and girls is a global pandemic. The problem continues to be universal, with women and girls victims of violence in every region and every country. Women who have been victims suffer from various health problems and reduced their ability to participate in public life.
- According to a study on domestic violence conducted in 10 countries by the World Health Organization (WHO), a percentage between 15 and 71 percent of women reported to have suffered physical or sexual violence from their husbands or partners.
- Among women aged between 15 and 44, the acts of violence are among the leading causes of death and disability more than cancer, malaria, traffic accidents and war.
- In 2006, women and girls accounted for 79 percent of the victims of human trafficking.
- More than 60 million girls worldwide are forced into early marriage, before age 18.
- It's estimated that between 100 and 140 million girls and women in the world currently live with the consequences of female genital mutilation, and about 3 million girls are at risk each year.
- Impunity for the perpetrators, inadequate services for victims / survivors, attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate negative stereotypes and violence against women, and a general lack of resources for the implementation of existing measures remain persistent obstacles to prevention and to the eradication of violence against women.

Il 25 novembre 2010 diversi artisti virtuali, galleristi e personaggi della cultura di SL sono stati chiamati a condividere nelle proprie land e gruppi di appartenenza il messaggio comune di solidarietà alla donna.

2Lei - La Passione delle donne
Un omaggio alla donna a 360 gradi che vuole essere allo stesso tempo un segno di solidarietà verso le donne violate, maltrattate, denigrate, soggiogate, odiate, temute, sfruttate... un modo per essere vicini a tutte quelle donne che in questo giorno non possono essere con noi a gridare il loro inno alla vita perché la loro passione non si è conclusa con una resurrezione..ma con la morte, la privazione... l'annientamento dell'essere. Un abbraccio a tutte quelle donne che con noi hanno camminato su questo mondo con passi da esseri umani tacciati di una differenza inesistente, di una particolarità scomoda, di una sensibilità inopportuna, di un entusiasmo pericoloso..di un essere donna da distruggere piuttosto che da amare.
Essere donna oggi è essere umana! Con i nostri corpi virtuali, la nostra coscienza globale e l'immortalità che ci contraddistingue in questo mondo perfetto vogliamo dedicare un giorno all'essere umano.
Nel giorno in cui il mondo reale si riunisce in questa denuncia senza confini, apriamo le porte del Metaverso per diffondere il nostro messaggio di solidarietà alle donne.
Questo messaggio vuole arrivare ai cuori degli esseri umani attraverso l'arte virtuale. Orgoglio di una società parallela in cui l'espressione creativa vanifica le distanze e si riunisce sotto un solo manifesto.
2Lei è l'esempio della collaborazione dei residenti di Second Life che a partire da un progetto italiano ha riunito per la stessa causa artisti e galleristi di tutto il mondo per dedicare anche nell'ambiente virtuale un giorno alla Passione delle donne.
Il 25 novembre 2010 vieni in Second Life ed abbraccia con noi tutte le donne del mondo!

Violenza contro le donne
- Nel corso dell’ultimo decennio, combattere la violenza contro le donne è divenuta una priorità in molti paesi. Uno studio del Segretario Generale del 2006 sulla violenza contro le donne ha rilevato che almeno 89 Stati avevano alcune disposizioni legislative sulla violenza domestica e che 60 avevano specifiche leggi contro la violenza domestica. Lo stupro coniugale era un reato perseguibile in almeno 104 Stati. Novantatre Paesi avevano alcune norme riguardanti il traffico di esseri umani. Novanta Stati avevano leggi contro le molestie sessuali.
- Nonostante questi progressi, la violenza contro donne e ragazze è una pandemia globale. Il problema continua ad essere universale, con donne e ragazze vittime di violenza in ogni regione ed ogni paese. Le donne che hanno subito violenza soffrono di diversi problemi di salute, e di una ridotta abilità di partecipare alla vita pubblica.
- In uno studio sulla violenza domestica condotto su 10 Paesi dall’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità (OMS), una percentuale tra il 15 e il 71 per cento delle donne ha riferito di aver subito violenza fisica o sessuale dal proprio marito o partner.
- Tra le donne di età compresa tra i 15 e i 44, gli atti di violenza sono tra le prime cause di morte e invalidità, più del cancro, della malaria, degli incidenti stradali e della guerra.
- Nel 2006, le donne e le ragazze hanno costituito il 79 per cento delle vittime del traffico di esseri umani.
- Più di 60 milioni di bambine in tutto il mondo sono costrette a matrimoni precoci, prima dei 18 anni.
- E’ stimato che dai 100 ai 140 milioni di ragazze e di donne nel mondo convivono attualmente con le conseguenze delle mutilazioni genitali femminili, e si stima che 3 milioni di ragazze sono a rischio ogni anno.
- L’impunità per i colpevoli, servizi inadeguati per le vittime/sopravvissute, atteggiamenti e comportamenti che perpetuano stereotipi negativi e la violenza contro le donne, e una generale scarsità di risorse per l’attuazione delle misure esistenti restano ostacoli persistenti alla prevenzione e all’eradicazione della violenza contro le donne.

Nicolas Shöffer’s tower

Nicolas Schöffer,

father of Cybernetic Art, an architect, visionary and artist. He is famous for his enlightened way of thinking and for being decades ahead of his own times.

We talk about a cybernetic construction when the system under scrutiny is involved in a closed signal loop, where action by the system in an environment causes some change in the environment itself which change is then transmitted again to the system via feedback. The feedback makes the system to adapt to new conditions. It changes its behaviour in an interactive way. This circular causal relationship is necessary and sufficient for a cybernetic perspective.

Schöffer adapted this cybernetic principle when he realised his spatiodynamic and luminodynamic sculptures consisting of moving and turning modules and mobiles, using light and mirrors to create constantly changing forms and effects. His work opened totally new horizons in art history during the 50s and 60s and inspired many enthusiastic followers. He continued working fervently and elaborating his constructions until his death in 1992 in Paris. His spirit is still living with us, his memory is vivid. His work is displayed in many museums over the world. There are several museums carrying his name and showing exclusively his artworks.

Schöffer’s chief achievement was the Tower of Light that he designed for the city of Paris, where it should have stood in a special surrounding to be seen from far away.

He used mirrors and lights to create the illusion, specially at night, that the tower was floating in the air. Dematerialization of the artwork was one of Schöffer’s main concerns that he wanted to realize by using immaterial media such as light and sound.

Inside the tower all kind of exhibitions, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and shops would entertain the visitor. Rotating floors would give spectacular views and on certain times a lightshow would transform the tower into a performance of its own.

Schöffer prepared a blueprint of his ‘Tour Lumière’, he built several maquettes, he painted and drew the tower many times. He was however too visionary and ways ahead of his times. The tower could not be built at the technical level of his era. It would be though not impossible but still a difficult task even with our much more elaborate and energy saving lighting and controlling technology to build such a huge and complicated tower in real life. Consequently Schöffer’s plan has remained on paper until recently.

Schöffer’s widow, Eléonore de Lavandeyra Schöffer has kept his heritage. She is still working with all her enormous strength to keep Schöffer’s memory alive and vivid by numerous openings and exhibitions showing his work. She has even organised an exhibition on SL with her friends, Àgota and Mária Nagy. She became with her avatar very soon absorbed by the virtual art world. She visited many exhibitions in Second Life. On one of her trips into the virtual world she got to know Velazquez Bonetto and the CARP (Cybernetic ARt Project) team. The work of Velazquez and his team caught Eléonore’s attention at once and she returned several times to follow the development of the ongoing projects. As soon as she realised what Velazquez was capable of, a new dream began to take shape.

Velazquez Bonetto is László Ördögh’s avatar in SL. His artistic activity is an integrated part of a wider carrier. It is nourished by more than thirty years of professional experience gathered in such different fields as industrial design, computer graphics, virtual reality and ergonomics. It has multiple influences on his art. Owing to years in software production he has developed several new techniques that can be roughly classified as mixed media and he is a high-profile creator in virtual artistic scenes.

The acquaintanceship with Eléonore de Lavendeyra Schöffer became more and more friendly and one day Velazquez got a letter from her:

‘Àgota told me that you could be interested in building the TLC on SL. It is a marvellous idea. I thought about it a long time ago. It would be fantastic if it could be done for the 100th anniversary of N.S. birth, and 20th anniversary of his death. 2012.

If you decide to do it, and I agree to the principle, (the modalities would have to be clearly precised together) their previous work could be of some help, and a meeting with you and them should be arranged as a second step. The first one being your trip to Paris, contact me, visit the atelier, and try together to put a wonderful dream into reality.

So, you have to tell me if you can come to Paris one of these days, and when. Propose to me different dates, so that I can find one fitting with my work.

I am very VERY happy with your idea. No one could be able to realize it properly except you. I already thank you.

Eléonore de Lavandeyra Schöffer’

After a short while Velazquez Bonetto, his daughter Caravaggio Bonetto and his wife Mirabella Infinity went to Paris in RL. They spent several days in the atelier and home of Schöffer with Eléonore explaining the tower and Schöffer’s work. After getting the blueprints and taking many pictures they went back home and started to build the Tower.

THE FIRST PRESENTATION OF THE TOWER takes place on Saturday, 9th October 2010 in the framework of the Imagine Festival as a symbol of a new world announced by the famous song of John Lennon. It is a great chance to see it and to make your own experience walking inside in SL, to look around and to feel what it could have been like if it had been built in Paris according to Schöffer’s plans.

The tower has been built on scale 1:1 in Second Life to be as true to the original as it was possible. To build something on scale 1:1 is not usual in SL. In the virtual world everything should be built on a larger scale because the avatars are bigger and taller as normal humans. ( at about 2 meters tall) There is one other major difference to real humans regarding the realisation of vision as well. The eye of an avatar is interpreted as a camera. We would normally think that this camera should be placed on the head where we see the eyes of a human. It is not the case though. The avatar should see himself or herself from behind on the monitor of the PC to enhance their ability of orientation. The camera is placed 3 meters behind the head and a bit higher than the head. It is why the main dimensions of the tower could be kept the same as they were planned by Schöffer but the number of the levels must have been reduced. If the original height of the levels had been kept, than the eyes of the avatars would have been one story higher than the avatar itself. According to the properties of vision in SL some walls must have been opened to secure good camera viewpoints. Staircases could have been eliminated, because the common means of transport is teleport in SL. A staircase would be absolutely obsolete here. Despite of the inevitable modifications the main aim was to be as true to the spirit of Schöffer as it could be possible amidst the technical conditions of SL. It is the spirit of experimenting and stretching the advantages of new technologies to the limits. It is the spirit of development beyond our most daring dreams . It is the spirit of interactions even by using immaterial media.

Three thousand two hundred active scripts and controllers let all the lights, reflectors and particles react to special events and perform a lightshow automatically or on command.

Seats of the audience are going to fly around with built in cameras that offer spectacular views, because the tower is too big to be taken in as a whole by any camera. Elevator seats bring you to the floor you choose. Exhibitions of historic pictures and cybernetic art make the event unforgettable. Great artists have been invited to create elaborated interactive, and scripted sculptures specially for the tower. Josina Burgess has created immersive particles and lots of cybernetic sculptures. Schöffer’s dream was to build the tower in Paris in RL. It has been built on a place he could not have dreamt of. It has been built in the virtual world not to be seen from a couple of kilometres away from the spot where it stands, but to be seen from all over the world. It has been built to be a symbol of development, innovation, true spirit of discovery and delight taken in work and wisdom.

While creating this installation we thought about a work whose peculiarities should have been colors and lights.
We started from the external panels with a sort of vanishing sensation, which represent the void all around, suddenly, by sitting on the poseballal beneath it, the avatar is completely dipped into an explosion of colors.
We also worked on the possibility of watching it at different times and with different lights. Changing of environement settings will give you the chance of experiencing what we ment to share with visitors both as far as visual effects and emotions..
The basical idea is simple, exactly as the title says, "Colors form the Void". The void is all around and when you sit inside it you are surrounded by colors as a sort of protection from the void.

A celebration of trees in virtual space

The book Documents 'Virtual Treeline' which invited artists to participate in an environmental art project in the virtual reality world, Second Life.
Virtual Treeline was part of 'Treeline' which was shown at Sunshine Coast Galleries, Queensland Australia in 2010.
Participating artists came from UK, USA, Chile, Australia, Italy, Canada and Germany.
The book's essay documents the artists' responses to trees as an inspiration for their art works and as a catalyst for thinking about sustainability and environment.

Article 27 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:

"Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits."

THE BIG HOUSE is Caerleon's new multi-artist project that celebrates the freedoms bestowed upon all humans being by the Universal Delclaration of Human Rights which celebrates it's 61's anniversary on December 10th..

THE BIG HOUSE, slang for prison, is just that -- A bleak gray institution surrounded by an oversized barbed wire fence and four guard towers that keep watch on 24 prison cells in which artists from around the world have created art installations that take on the 30 articles from the Universal Declaration of Human rights.

Incorporating various artistic styles and interpretations, including streaming video, the "imprisoned" artists demonstrate how our creative impulses, imaginations and spirit can liberate us from all prisons -- whether they be physical, political, social, economical or even virtual.

TOWARDS THE FUTURE is a fully immersive installation created at Burning Life.
We are proud to invite you to enjoy the colorful atmosphere we have built in one of the 12 camps of Art Department.

For a better fruition of the work, here there are some tips:
- Environment setting: Midnight;
- Move inside the space as you like, you can walk to the top through the light blue path or fly through colors
- Don't miss the fire ball at the top, simply click on it and you will roll down through, sounds, music, colorful shapes
- Once you get the floor you've got few seconds to stand up or.......... roll down again :) and the view will be always different!

We hope you won't miss it!

- Mettez SL en environnement minuit
- Déplacez vous dans l'espace à votre guise. Vous pouvez marcher vers les haut par le chemin bleu clair, ou voler à travers les couleurs.
- Ne manquez pas la boule de feu en haut, cliquez dessus pour rouler à travers les formes, les couleurs, l'ambiance sonore (sons et musique).
- Une fois arrivé au sol, vous avez quelques secondes pour vous lever....ou vous roulerez encore :-), à chaque fois l'effet visuel sera different !

I am very pleased to invite you to the Grand Opening celebration of our newest show - the Soleil. This is an exciting exhibition presenting 36 Second Life artists of all possible styles and techniques - from copies of RL paintings to interactive immersive installations.
Almost every artwork you will see is new and not seen before. Most were created specifically for the show. The artists were asked to make art reflecting all possible intepretations of the theme, "the Soleil". You will see many interesting and unique artworks that this theme has inspired. When you arrive using the landmark above you will see the first floor filled with artwork. On this floor and above many of the art sculptures are interactive - they react to avatar presence by making sounds or rezzing something as part of the presentation. Consider walking closer - if you just cam around you will give you only part of the effect our artists have created.
After you examine the first floor, please walk up the staircase. Each step has an artwork made by the artist whose name you see on the step. Clicking on a step will give you information, bio, and artists' statements. Once you reach the top of the stairs you will enter our Events area. This is where the Opening Event will be held on July 11th. This is a very unusual event area - the whole room is designed specifically for this show by one of the most acclaimed SL artists, Glyph Graves. He is well known for making beautiful, vibrant, unusual installations. For the Soleil he created not just a room - it is a different world. Again, I strongly suggest walking in as opposed to camming up - you will see how being inside affects your mood and feelings.􀀅
To emphasise this effect, during the opening, July 11th, we will enjoy a very special performance by AldoManutio Abruzzo, an amazing professional musician (Dennis Moser in RL) known for his music improvisations. He visited the events area and agreed that this wonderful art installation will inspire him to play something special - his music will be the 37th art piece of the show, only existing for one hour. He is generously donating his peformance to AngelGate Arts to support the future of creating art events like the Soleil.􀀀
The opening celebration will be continuted by another live music performance. Edward Kyomoon sings rock music and love songs ranging from the 60's to the present, covering bands and artists such as the Doors, Pink Floyd, Blue October, Snow Patrol and Nine Inch Nails. Vivo il Metaverso e Second Life da oltre due anni, e da altrettanto tempo creo sculture e condivido esperienze, impressioni ed emozioni con avatar vecchi e nuovi. Ma la comunicazione e la condivisione di quanto ho creato all'interno di Second Life non e mai rimasta limitata all'interno di questo mondo tridimensionale a sua volta per nulla definito. La voglia di comunicare ed esplorare vie diverse mi ha spinto ad intraprendere percorsi diversi, ad utilizzare vie di comunicazione diversi, ma allo stesso tempo simili per la loro finalità: comunicare, unire, condividere, istruire, mostrare, conoscere, sperimentare,.....................
E' vero a volte le parole, tante, troppe, non rendono appieno l'idea di quanto ci si possa sentire coinvolti, immersi, intrecciati, incatenati all'interno del web con le sue immense possibilità. Per questo ringrazio chi ha dato la possibilità ai creativi di dare "voce" alla nostra idea di web 2.0 attraverso il medium che meglio ci rappresenta, il BUILDING.
L'idea principale che configura l'opera è la sua caratteristica immersiva. Le opere immersive in quanto tali esistono per essere vissute dall'interno, ma allo stesso tempo esplorate dall'esterno, sbirciate e scoperte in tutte le parti che lo compongono. Il titolo dell'opera dà già di per sè l'idea di come può essere vissuta WEB 2.0 - Inside and Out, dentro e fuori, da mero osservatore o da protagonista, l'idea dei quadrati che si accavalano gli uni sugli altri, rappresenta la quantità di pagine, informazioni, input che ciascuno di noi riceve quotidianamente consapevolmente ed inconsapevolmente vivendo la rete. Le pagine in movimento che si intravedono all'interno della scultura raprresentano esempi della mia storia di avatar sul web; del mio essere "dentro" e "fuori", in un continuo trasmigrare tra vari mondi.

Il 28 aprile scorso, a grande richiesta - (è stato un grandissimo piacere)- Solkide ed io siamo stati invitati nuovamente da Giliola Allen a partecipare ad una chiacchierata tra arte e geometria. Tra sculture geometriche e sculture immersive, entrando nelle ricostruzioni in 3D delle opere di escher di Solkide, la serata è passata piacevolemnte grazie soprattutto ai tanti che si sono divertiti a vivere le nostre sculture.
Un ringraziamento particolare va a Redstar Lamilton che ha realizzato un video della serata.

Ieri sera nella sim di Indire si è svolta una piacevole conversazione su Arte e Matematica con l'amica Giliola Allen.
Partendo da artisti eclettici e originali come Escher e Vasarely, matematici come Moebius e Penrose che hanno creato suggestioni bizzarre, mondi fantastici, paesaggi enigmatici
e paradossi prospettici.
Da qui l'idea di riprodurre e creare opere originali in SL in un mondo ideale per creazioni fantastiche e simulazioni architettoniche.
Shellina e Solkide hanno giocato con la realtà creando opere di notevole effetto grafico con gli strumenti di SL e la matematica.
Figure impossibili e illusioni ottiche sperimentate direttamente in SL in una conversazione tra amici e appassionati di arte e di matematica.

Iimmersività ed interazione caratterizzeranno lo spazio suggestivo del tempio di Adriano durante la notte futurista del 20 febbraio (ore 19:00 – 24:30, piazza di Pietra).

50 artisti esporranno la loro opera nel Museo del metaverso e nella sede di Experience Italy in Second Life, estendendo la propria esibizione sino nel cuore di Roma, nell’allestimento curato da Paolo Valente (savb.eu)

Sarà possibile immergersi nello spazio virtuale di “Futurismo Manifesto 100×100”, e partecipare alla performance FUTURfashion di abiti futuristi indossati dagli avatar, una iniziativa di Musei in Comune 2.0 curata da Marina Bellini.

This exhibit opens at 11:30 a.m. SLT on Sunday, November the 16th and brings to you numerous works of art with a wide variety of unique Second Life art, including several one-of- a- kind pieces from various artists. The Museum is an amazing work of architectural art created by NMC’s CJ Carnot. When settings are turned to midnight, you will notice the subtle changes in hues on the building, and will be awestruck by the beauty and design.
This month three artists will be showcased on the second floor of the museum.

The featured artists include French artist, vroum Short as well as Italian artist’s Shellina Winkler and Solkide Auer.

Arena ... Rinascimento Virtuale.... some days after

Non si è ancora placata l'emozione di una full immersion così particolare. Tutto comincia a prendere forma giorno 22 ottobre 2008, un'Arena bianca, vuota, immensa a nostra completa disposizione. L'evento è particolare, unico, si dà il via ad una manifestazione del sè che si trasforma da pixel in real e da real nuovamente in pixel. E' difficile disgregare i momenti, impossibile.

La sera del 22 nell'Arena di Uqbar circondata da cari amici, colleghi, curiosi, sconosciuti. Passeggio tra le opere respirando le emozioni. Forti sensazioni, invero, quando gli amici che incontro si emozionano a loro volta, colgono i messaggi, le sensazioni, che ho racchiuso in centinaia e centinaia di prim. Qualcuno addirittura mi legge dentro, forse fino a oggi non credevo di aver messo così tanto di me stessa in ogni opera.

Chi dice che in First life non esiste il Teleport? Si impiega più tempo, ma il risultato è lo stesso ed eccomi catapultata in una fortezza, carica di luci, immagini, colori e tanta, tanta gente.

Strane persone si aggirano in cerca di uno sguardo, un cenno, una parola... chi sarà quello? e quella?

OMG!!!

Siamo noi, siamo quelli che due sere prima passeggiavamo in una Arena, tutti quanti proiettati in una dimensione diversa che di diverso aveva ben poco. La prova tangibile che esistiamo, siamo vivi, immersi in due mondi paralleli ma assolutamente incrociati.

Burning Life 2008

Anni fa ascoltai il racconto di un caro amico che con una jeep carica di tutto, tra varie difficoltà, e non ultima una terribile tempesta di sabbia, giunse nel cuore del deserto del Nevada per montare con i suoi compagni di viaggio un'istallazione e vivere i giorni del Burning Man. Vidi le foto, centinaia, e tra racconto verbale e foto immaginai di essere là. L'anno scorso, ancora una newbie, scoprii per caso l'esistenza di Burning Life... sì su SL avevano ricreato la stessa ambientazione, una distesa enorme di creazioni incredibili, stimolanti, grande ispirazione per quanti con i prim cercano di esprimere qualcosa. Il build era attivo .... è la prima cosa che cerchi quando arrivi in una land che ti solletica la fantasia... rezzare e creare fu un tutt'uno. Ma il Burning Life, l'evento, era già andato, la festa era finita, solo qualche curioso andava ancora in giro, chissà forse come me ad immaginare cosa fosse avvenuto prima, durante.... la festa era finita. Burning Life rimase per qualche mese ancora terra libera in cui buildare era un piacere per sperimentare. Finchè l'estate finì e un giorno la trovammo sepolta da una spessa coltre di neve.. Burning Life 2007 non era più... di lì a poco sparì del tutto come Atlantide .. inabissata. E' passato un anno e la terra del Burning è riemersa, desertica, immensa, pronta da conquistare, pronta da rivivere stavolta da protagonista. Niente Jeep su Second Life, niente tormente di sabbia, il viaggio è stato breve ed in valigia solo tanta fantasia e qualche prim in più. Ho dato un nome al mio pezzetto di terra.... SECOND STAR TO THE RIGHT

This is the second time I've got the honour to have one of my pieces discussed on BIW podcast. Thank you very much to all :)

In Episode 21 features the triumphant return of Don Carroll, owner of Jack the Pelican Presents. Don, Boris, Jay and painter / art critic James Kalm discuss a variety of artwork on the sim spending a good deal of the time talking about the epic installation by Ichibot Nishi. We talk about some of the things that make some kenetic SL sculptures really interesting while others of them are… not so much. Jay says that a red-hot sculpture “leaves him cold” and Don reveals to the audience a reason why you may be glad this is an audio podcast…. or perhaps disappointed. Un sincero GRAZIE ai tanti: amici, curiosi, viaggiatori che la sera del 25 giugno hanno condiviso con noi questa splendida serata girando tra gli innumerevoli prim contorti, allineati, colorati.

Un GRAZIE particolare a Luky Masala - owner della land che ci ospita - la ITALICA STUDIOS, un gruppo specializzato in attività di building, che ci ha dato la possibilità di realizzare un sogno.

La Galleria

La galleria è composta da due parti che, sebbene separate, danno un senso di continutà all'attività di creazione svolta da me e dal mio collega Solkide Auer.
L'applicazione delle medesime tecniche ci ha condotto in un percorso artistico parallelo verso la realizzazione di tantissime opere che, sebbene completamente diverse, sotto altri aspetti sembrano ricreare una linea continua. Il nostro obiettivo è stato, sin dall'inizio della creazione della galleria, quello di spingere il visitatore ad andare sempre oltre, incuriosendolo.
Speriamo di esserci riusciti.

Sul tetto si trova gran parte della produzione di "oneprim objects".

Giro spesso col tag "Prim Squeezer", come più volte sono stata chiamata dai miei amici,

ed un omaggio al PRIM e alle sue mutevolissime forme era doveroso da parte mia.

Una spettacolare cornice montana creata da Lucrezia Gausman e Rino Oconnel, piacevole e divertente intrattenersi in loro compagnia, sempre disponibili e allegri. In questa torrida estate che avanza un po' di refrigerio non guasta :))

Are they going to... are they coming back...? Are they running away? the everlasting roundabout of man looking for himself.

ALGENIB

C'è poco di originale in un remake di un'opera d'altri. La geometria dei prim in un tentativo di ricreare l'arte cinetica e l'illusione ottica dell'originale Victor Vasarely.
Nothing of original in a remake of some others' work. The geometry of prims in an attempt of recreating Victor Vasarely's kinetic art and optical illusion.

La Fenice è un uccello mitologico dalle belle piume rosse e dorate che risorge dopo la sua morte dalle sue ceneri. E' il momento della rinascita.

A phoenix is a mythological bird with beautiful gold and red plumage which arises from its ashes after its death. This is time of rebirth.

TREE LANE

Una passeggiata verso la vita. Attraverso un vicolo che conduce al sole e all'albero come metafore della nascita.

A walk towards life. A walk through a lane which leads to the sun and a tree as metaphors of birth
